In 2019 we decided to put together a Gathering for Youth in the Sahtú region:
5 communities of Youth coming together to better understand what we want, and decide what the tools are that we need to move forward as strong communities.
We want to thrive together, and that means having a say on what we want for our future.
Several indigenous leaders participated in leading powerful workshops & activities, including Jennie Vandermeer, Nigit’sil Norbert, and Dene Nahjo. Jessie Curell from Hands On Media Education spent the week teaching the youth Digital Storytelling as well.
